Dog Days of Summer

There's a saying about the dog days of summer and I never really understood what it was until now. The dog days of summer is mid-to-late July in Maryland, in which the temperatures rise to the mid-to-high 90s, the humidity skyrockets, everyone goes inside and cranks their A.C. and goes into hibernation until more hospitable weather returns. My current "dog days of summer" symptoms include sleeping too late, taking late-afternoon naps, moving as little as possible, rewatching old reality TV survival shows, and listening to lots of music.
The last few days I spent at the bay with my parents and my grandma. My grandma and I completed four 300 piece puzzles for a grand total of 1,200 pieces. All but the cat one are pictured below. Turns out doing puzzles is actually kind of fun.
One of my favorite things about the bay is the sunsets. Pretty much every evening there's a spectacular show over the water. I know that sunset pictures are about the easiest pictures to take and everyone takes a million, but I can't help myself.
I've been realizing that this is the first summer in a long time that I haven't had any summer assignments to do or a new dorm room to pack and buy things for...so I have nothing I absolutely have to do, which means I wind up doing very little. I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts.
