School's Out for Summer!

Day 12 of "7":Thank you AB for that post. It was very heartfelt and thought provoking. I've been trying my best with month one of Seven, but it has been a struggle, and I know this whole thing is about reducing your life to become closer to God, and I think I'm doing okay with the lifestyle reduction, but I don't feel like I'm getting any closer to God. And that's my own fault, because I act like if I just sit back and wait, He'll come to me. But God wants to be sought after. He'll be with us even when we neglect him, he'll still love us even when we don't pay attention to him, but He will truly work miracles in our lives and our relationship with Him will grow best if we actually put in the effort to sincerely and genuinely spend time with Him, and that's where I'm lacking. I suck at taking up new good habits. Everytime I try to do a serious daily devotional on a regular basis, I always start out really strong, and then taper off after only a few weeks. It makes me really frustrated. I pray every night, and that's when I'm the most honest I think, but just praying isn't all I should be doing, and I know it. So hopefully as Seven continues, I'll also be able to get into a consistent curve with daily readings and certain times that I set aside just to be with God. Because that's the point of all of this anyway.
Ooh, I really like this picture! Perhaps I'll use it as one of my 8tracks album covers...

Like AB mentioned, today was the last day of school. It didn't really feel like it though. When I think "Last Day of School" I think of a sunny day where everyone's excited and super happy and bouncing off the walls and saying goodbye to friends and stuff. But it was really overcast and rainy and people were pretty calm. It was really fun though, a bunch of our friends and me played Catch Phrase and Apples to Apples, and we laughed our heads off more than a few times.
Now that it's officially summer break, let me just say that I will actually be sleeping in tomorrow--that is, sleeping in for me. I'll probably wake up around 8 o'clock, read in bed until 9 o'clock, watch TV until 10 o'clock, and then do a bunch of chores that my Mom asks me to do. That's actually pretty much my whole summer, except I do go over to my grandparents' house at least twice a week and chill with my grams and gramps. I'm starting Driver's Ed next week, which, ew, but whatever, get it over with. And I have three summer assignments, which, also ew. But I digress.
Anyway, for all of you who just got off of school, congratulations and have a wonderful summer. Don't forget to hang out with friends as much as possible, catch up on your reading, and go on a bunch of awesome vacations. I really want to go on a road trip again this year like I did last year. That was probably one of my alltime favorite vacations. Just cruisin' through 'Merica with my fam. Good times, great memories. :)

Movie Recommendation: Source Code.
