trendiful
I started this post almost an entire year ago, on February 10th, and never posted it. Anyway, here it is.
I was going to make a whole post about fashion trends I don't understand, but I felt like it might've been offensive to people who like those fashion trends and I don't want to stomp on anyone's creative, personal expression so instead I'm doing a list of fashion trends I like. Because positivity is better than negativity any day of the week.

- Scallops. Not the food. The hemline. That's what it is, right? A hemline?

- Ponchos/kimonos

- High-waisted pants. I know, I know, high waisted anything is controversial for whatever reason, but I like them. They're all vintage-y and timeless.

- "Ugly" sweaters. The oversized, vintage ones you get from thrift stores that someone's mom probably wore in the 90s.

- Round glasses. I could never pull them off, but I think they're kind of fun and interesting.

- Overall dresses. They remind me of the kinds of dresses I wore when I was like six, which sounds like it would be a bad thing (and maybe it is), but I think it's kinda vintage and cool.

- Collared shirts under sweaters. Preppy in a good way?

- Oxford shoes. Also preppy in a good way?

- Watches. I love good old analog watches. There's something very classic about them. Since watches have a practical purpose they'll probably always be "in style", but types of watches come and go. Right now big watches and watches with designs on the face seem to be kind of "in", but so are simpler, smaller ones. Whatever best suits your own style.

- Turtlenecks. I know that most people would call turtlenecks "frumpy" or "old-lady-ish", but I think they're incredibly cozy and rather stylish. They've definitely been making a comeback over the last few years.

- Jean jackets. I've never been able to pull one off, but I think they look great on other people.

- Similarly, jean skirts.
- Hats. Of all kinds. Sunhats, knit hats, baseball hats...I can't really pull them off, but I wear them because they're practical. Some people just look exceptionally flawless in their caps.
Welp, there you have. Just a few of my favorite fashionable things for your viewing pleasure. I'm sorry if this was incredibly dull for you...
