Given

A few days ago, I stumbled upon a blog about a family's travels throughout the world and the pictures are absolutely stunning. Here's a synopsis of the movie "Given", which is a documentary of the Goodwin family's travels:
"Given is the simple yet powerfully contemplative story of a unique family legacy come full circle. Told through the visceral experience of a 6 yr. old, Given follows legendary surfers Aamion and Daize Goodwin from their island home of Kauai through 15 different countries in the quest for surf and to fulfill a calling handed down through generations. Set in wave after wave of stunningly visual earthscapes, Given blooms into a tender yet stirring exploration of a young boy’s understanding of life through his familial bonds and their reverence for nature. Deeply moving, Given gives us the humbling contrast of a small voice voyaging through a big world as it finds its way home again."
And here's the movie trailer:

And now for some of my favorite photos:
Hippy van and New Zealand. Need I say more.

Their newborn baby True is the cutest little girl! I love the bright yellow
in both pictures.

Look at that little round baby belly! This photo captures such a perfect,
intimate moment.

Given the Movie | Thailand:
You can just barely make out True on the beach on the left. That boat
sure fit a lot of people. Dang.

Given the Movie | Israel:
This picture is photographic heaven for me. Literally. The composition
is so perfect in every way. Talk about a moment caught in time. Agh, I
can't get enough of it.

Given the Movie | Israel:
I love the warmth of the colors in this one. You can tell that it was a
happy moment when this picture was captured.

Given the Movie | Israel:
Given and his dad. Love the framing and the contrast of the stormy sky
with the yellow tent and white sand.
I can't wait till this movie comes out so DL and I can find it somewhere (because it definitely won't be playing in theaters) and watch it together. It looks like a very uplifting, thought-provoking, visually impressive, family-friendly documentary. That is a rare combination for a film, I can tell you. Anyway, happy Monday! It's almost Tuesday! And after Tuesday it's Wednesday and the week is halfway over...therefore, the week is basically halfway over! #logic. :)
