It's Officially Summer!

     Now that the summer solstice has come and gone, it is officially summer. I can't believe we still have two months of summer break. I will try my hardest to drag it out as long as possible. Here are some things you can do to celebrate the beginning of summer:


1. Catch lightning bugs.

2. Have a backyard cookout.

Not exactly a "cookout" but this reminds me so
much of the tree with all the bottles hanging
from it in the movie Because of Winn Dixie.

3. Go camping (or glamping).

4. Sleep in...

This is soooo cuuuuteeee!

5. Wake up early (watch the sun rise! Ha).

In case you're somewhere with camels.

6. Go to the beach.

7. Make hot-day desserts like smoothies or homemade ice cream.

Fish cone, purple ice cream, sprinkles, and
a unicorn topper...what more could you want?

8. Take a hike.

With your puppy, if you have one.

9. Soak up some sun (but use sunscreen!)

10. Go to an amusement park.

11. Read a book.

Anyone who has a cat knows how accurate this picture is...book comes out, so does cat.

12. Go to an outdoor movie.

13. Take a drive with the windows down.

At least until it either gets a) too hot or b) too
annoying.
