Today during track practice while walking super slowly around the track for our warm-up, DL and I were talking about how we always over-analyze literally every single little thing in life that absolutely does not need to be worried about or even thought about. Then I came home and I didn't want to do my homework yet so I got on YouTube and the song "Looking Too Closely" was in my recommended and I hadn't heard it before but it sounded like it might be about exactly what DL and I were talking about so I listened to it and it definitely is. The thing is, I've never felt better after I spent egregious amounts of time over-analyzing a text or something some said or something someone did or a look someone gave me. I just worry myself into a tizzy and wind up hurting myself. Sometimes I'll lie in bed for an hour before I go to sleep just thinking about things that happened that day or things that might happen in the future and all I'm doing is just looking way too closely. There's a reason why they say hindsight is 20/20. You have to step back and look at the big picture sometimes. I'm bad at that. Really bad at that. Here's a big picture:

Whenever I stop and think about how insanely, unfathomably HUGE our universe is, it just gives me the heebie jeebies. In a good way, I guess. And a scary way. It's like whenever I try to imagine eternity. Some things just aren't meant to be comprehended.
